The Safety Clamp is a tool used to prevent the drilling tool from slipping down when making up or breaking off in oil and gas drilling operations. The clamping range can be changed by adjusting the number of links (if necessary, replace the dies and/or latch).

Safety Clamps Type MP are necessary tools for handling drill collars, flush joint pipes, and small shoulder pipes. They could adjust pipes of different sizes by changing the number of chain links.

WA Safety Clamps are tools for handling flush joint pipes and drill collars. There are two models of safety clamps. Model WA-C Safety Clamps can accommodate pipe from 3 1/2-15 5/8 in(88.9-396.9mm) O.D. Model WA-T Safety Clamps can accommodate pipe from 1 1/8-4 1/2 in(28.6-114.3mm) O.D.

When using, it should often check the wear condition of the inserts. The inserts should be replaced entirely in time once found it is worn out. BE CAREFUL not to use old inserts with one at the same time. When the safety clamps are not in use for a long time, they should be cleaned and coated with antirust oil and placed in a dry place with good ventilation.
