The Second LR130 Rotary Drilling Rig (30m) Successfully Deliver to India

Since the first LR130 rotary drilling rig operate well in India in April, 2019, our India partner placed another order in December, 2019. After full communication with our customer, our technicians make further optimization on the second rig based on the working situation of first one in India work site.

The second rig continue the basic technical configuration as first machine, main equipment all use international famous brand, like engine to be CUMMINS, main winch and rotary head motor to be Rexroth, main hydraulic oil pump to be KAWASAKI. With 4-element DP, this machine can drill up to 30meter in depth and 1.2 meter in hole opening. 

Considering the operation habit that Indian operators used to lift steel cage by auxiliary winch and do concrete grouting, we design special auxiliary winch to meet customer’s requirement. We improve the lifting speed of auxiliary winch up to 82 m/min from 60m/min in first machine, and increase the plate thickness of the rotary head. All these modifications will help a lot to customer’s on-site grouting work. Meanwhile, to solve the high oil temperature in India summer time, we increase the capacity of hydraulic oil tank, and install an independent motor cooling fan. We also change some details base on the feedback from work site. 

Our Indian customer finished all the inspection work on Jan., 2020, and we plan to ship the cargo on early February. But we have no choice but to delay the delivery due to the expansion of novel coronavirus pneumonia in China. At the end of February, when the situation becomes better and logistics recovered, we finished all the shipping-booking and customs related procedures at the earliest possible time and finish the loading of the machine. The machine has left Qingdao port on March 4th and is heading for Nhava Sheva port, India.
